BIOWINGS WORK GROUP TO MEET IN REHOVOT, ISRAEL
Everything is ready for the BioWings M18 Project Meeting in REHOVOT.
The month 18 meeting in Rehovot (near Tel Aviv) marks an important step in the BioWings project life cycle.
The consortium of seven partners will meet to discuss the latest advancements in the project.
The meeting will take place at Weizmann Institute of Science, one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary basic research institutions in the natural and exact science.
The major task of the WIS group is the deposition of Gd doped ceria films by sputtering with different Gd contents and on a variety of substrate/electrodes in order to search for the most electromechanically active combination and to develop reliable deposition procedures.
The WIS group will use microfabrication procedures to test actuator structures developed by the UAV and EPFL groups and then prepare and characterize thin films with texture and composition recommended by the modeling of the MPI group in order to provide the necessary feedback for optimization of the model.
This will be a very important Project Meeting, to continue with the development of the BioWings project.
