HIGHLIGHTS OF BIOWINGS CONSORTIUM MEETING IN ISRAEL
The consortium meeting at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot has represented an important moment for BioWings partners to share the progress of each of the Work Packages.
The BioWings meeting has taken place at the Weizmann Insitute of Science, in Rehovot, Israel.
During the meeting, each team has given an overview of the main results produced during the past six months.
Some major highlights have been reported regarding the development of two product concepts arising from the BioWings intellectual property, that will be further developed with the aim to bring them to the market.
The intended applications exploit the specific properties of these materials for developing medical devices in support of diabetes therapy and blood count tests.
Exciting perspectives are also on the horizon from the scientific point of view, as enhanced properties have been observed in some materials by modifying their spatial arrangement and by controlling their structure at the micrometer scale.
The achieved results are on the way of a new low-cost and easy to fabricate generation of devices, intended for single-use on one patient during a single procedure.
Altogether a great satisfaction has been expressed by the coordination team of DTU Energy for the presence of such successful results.
To “push” each topic faster, a work plan has been defined by common agreement of the participants to be developed in the near future.
